North Shore Network
The North Shore Network is an organization that was created by Superior North CFDC in 2009 following a meeting of Economic Development practitioners from the Superior North region. This dynamic group of developers meets quarterly to discuss common problems, share information and strive to find local solutions. Strategic economic growth and increased capacity is the goal of these developers who while representing different communities, realize they face common natural and geographical issues. This strong partnership continued and regional stakeholders are now included in regular meetings.
The North Shore Network has been instrumental in seeing various regional projects being developed through the partnerships between Federal/Provincial governments, communities, agencies and consultants. The current project being implemented is a Regional Tourism Initiative, a joint project between Superior North CFDC and the twelve communities that make up the Superior North region from Dorion to Manitouwadge.
